Evolutions extend a player item through new upgrade options, attributes, abilities, chemistry or a higher rating cap. Each Evo carries its own challenges and requirements, and some can be combined. A player checks an Evo on the card itself in MUT, where the remaining challenges are listed.
A general article never proves what one owned copy still needs. What MUTher has verified from EA and from sources that agree: - Some Evos can be chained together to extend a player lifespan while others are a self-contained Evo experience. - Evos can increase max OVR, unlock new upgrade paths, add or improve abilities, expand chemistry options, and even change archetypes.
- Some Evos can be linked together to extend a player's lifespan while others are one-time Evo upgrades. - You can use Evos to expand how you develop players and shape your lineup and strategy. - Evos can reduce Ability Point costs.
- Every Evo is different and offers different upgrades and effects. - Not every player works with every Evo, only players that meet that Evo's eligibility requirements. - You earn Skill Points by completing objectives on Evo players and spend them to unlock upgrades.
- You can preview an Evo before applying it to see what it changes. - Some Evos can be stacked so you can apply multiple Evos to the same player. - Evos can increase OVR caps, unlock upgrade paths, and add or improve abilities.
- Evos let you upgrade eligible player items and keep developing them over time. What players are reporting — MUTher hasn't checked these against EA yet: - (reported) The attribute a Skill Point buys is probably not fixed — writers report the increases are rolled, and depend on the archetype being upgraded. (effective 2026-09-12) - (reported) A card's upgrades are managed from the Evos menu or from the player item itself in the binder.
