MUTher is in beta — we're still working out kinks. The Chrome extension, MUTher Link, is on the Chrome Web Store.

Syncing

A sync is MUTher reading your account from EA. It is the only thing that puts real cards in MUTher, and it is read-only: nothing MUTher does changes anything in MUT.

Start one from the Sync button in the header, on My Team or on Binder. The button reads Sync, then Queued…, then Syncing….

What a sync reads

Four things, in this order:

  1. Your hub — your wallet balances (coins, points, training and the rest), your team OVR and how many items you hold.
  2. Your binder — every card you own, a page at a time, with its ratings and its card art.
  3. Your depth chart — every slot, starters and backups, and the gaps.
  4. Your chemistry — EA's own chemistry catalog, which is where the tier thresholds come from.

Chemistry is the one optional read. If EA does not answer that call, the sync still finishes with everything else and the report says chemistry was not read this time.

Once it is saved, that is the team the coach reasons about until your next sync.

How often

PlanSync
FreeOne successful sync per rolling hour
MUTher ProWhenever you ask, plus an hourly sync of its own

MUTher Pro is not available to buy yet — see Plans and billing for where that stands. Everything in MUTher is free until it opens.

When you are inside the hour, the Sync button shows the time left rather than failing at you, and SettingsSync shows your last successful sync, your next available sync and which cadence you are on. A sync that fails also holds the button for thirty seconds before the next attempt.

Since your last sync

From your second sync onwards, MUTher keeps a record of what moved. The first sync has no earlier sync to measure against and says so.

It reports:

  • Cards that arrived and cards that are gone. A departed card that MUTher's last report had marked as an auction candidate is noted as *presumed auctioned* — presumed, because EA does not tell MUTher where a card went.
  • OVR changes, from the OVR EA displays on the card.
  • Lineup changes, slot by slot, including a slot you emptied or filled.
  • Wallet movement — coins, training and any other currency that moved, with EA's own labels.

The one-line version rides in the header ("+3 cards · 2 OVR up · coins −112,400"), and the full history is on Insights under Activity, grouped by sync, newest first, for the last seven days.

Chemistry and equipped abilities are read by a sync but are not part of this list. They show up on the Chemistry panel and on the card itself.

When EA is busy

EA's game service tolerates one live session per account and turns away a login that arrives too soon after another one. It answers that refusal with the same shape it uses for a dead credential, which is why MUTher checks before it accuses your account of anything: it asks EA's identity service whether your sign-in is still good, and only calls it a sign-in problem if the answer is no.

When EA is merely busy, a sync waits it out — up to twenty seconds — and then runs. If more time than that is left on the clock, the sync stops and says:

EA is still busy with your last session. EA lets one game session run at a time, and it is still holding the one MUTher just used. Your EA account is connected and nothing on your team changed — give it about a minute and try again.

Nothing is wrong and nothing needs reconnecting. Wait a minute and press Try again.

Reconnecting

If EA actually rejects the sign-in, Settings says EA needs you to sign in again and offers Reconnect EA account. That runs the same pairing handoff as the first link — a new one-time code, EA's own sign-in page — and your saved binder, reports and settings are untouched by it.

You can also unlink deliberately: SettingsEA connectionUnlink EA account. That removes the EA credentials and any unused pairing code. Your saved binder and reports stay until you delete them, which is a separate control — see Privacy and data.

Removing the extension from Chrome does not unlink anything. The connection lives on MUTher's side, which is also why syncs keep working with Chrome closed.

This is MUTher's own documentation. For how Madden 27 Ultimate Team itself works — Evolutions, chemistry, sets, the Auction House — see the Madden 27 pages, which are compiled from public sources and carry them.
